relying on VAC to protect paid leagues. yikes well gg have fun in CGa to all those people playing legitimately, welcome all the pro 14 year olds to the scene and reward them for never having applied themselves to the game.

the idea of removing players from paid leagues to admin is a solid decision though, removes the bigger part of biasness and would require admins to take a more professional approach, rather than it being a way to inflate their e-peen or egos. powerslave is a good example.

"too time consuming" or "too costly" seems like a cop out for not introducing an anti-cheat. you have people pay subscriptions to compete in CGa and have entry fee's for higher leagues. besides paying for server costs and getting a profit for yourself, and CGa prize pool, where does the rest of the money go? :/

If you were to properly look into anti-cheats you would realise that they actually cost hundreds of thousands to maintain. That's why you see ESEA and FACEIT use anti-cheats as they are a multi-million dollar company.

We are looking at every possible outcome and do strive to actively find an anti-cheat.

We actively try to improve and when we do we get certain individuals like yourself, who do not do any research on the matter come in and provide negative feedback. We provide a community and listen to all those who speak and will do our best to fit the needs of both the game and community.

I agree with you on everything you've said, but even ESEA and FaceIt still do manual bans despite having a multi-hundred-thousand dollar costing anti-cheat that's constantly being updated and developed, so why would we remove the capacity to do manual bans especially considering we DON'T have an active AC?

I wouldn't say being concerned about the lack of an anti-cheat as negative feedback. People are paying to compete, you're removing any method to ban players like Antiher0, those who go out and cheat beyond their hearts content, to ruin the leagues and make a mockery of the scene as it is.
there was a CGa season in 2016 where 100+ CGa players were vac'd - https://www.cybergamer.com/forums/thread/602404/page-1/VAC-wave/
since then, they've just re-aliased and swapped a few skins for something a little more sturdy.
Why should anyone bother compete in paid leagues now? CGa / CGm have online finals, and with the lack of accountability what's to stop cheater vs cheater finals?

Sadly wasn't my decision to remove demo watching. Other means will be coming into play shortly though! Cant fully go into details but look forward to the future!

Not really. Some big asterisks in there which are all dependent on a lot of factors, so I'll believe it when I see it.

Hope it's a huge success tho, the scene badly needs it.
