Hi, I’m new here and desperately seeking for help. I bought a laptop (HP 15-bs0xx: 64bit, 1.6 MHz 2 cores, 4gb ram) with Windows 10 Home and, being a fervent Call of Duty gamer, I installed CoD 1 which gave me not much of heartache, but with CoD2, I had no luck, despite all the trimmings, administrator rights, compatibility issues, patches and no-cd tricks. I couldn’t get it working. I even installed Windows XP on a virtual machine but after having installed the game, it kept asking for the cd-drive. Has this to do with my laptop? I know the inbuilt video is not much game-minded, but on the other hand, CoD1 could handle it effectively. So, do I have to abandon CoD2, much to my disappointment, or is there somewhere a solution for which I wholeheartedly will thank you for?
