Yeah I meant CoD4 strike. The best maps (tactically) in CoD games could all be played in CoD2 imo. vCOD harbor, vCOD depot, vCOD Tigertown, vCOD Neuville and CoD4 Strike + Citystreets would defo all work imho.

How is it possible for us to get these maps? Someone will need to create them correct me if im wrong? Dino if they can be dragged over then tweaked a little to run on the cod2 engine.

Don't think it's particularly easy mate, never made a map or got into it so not sure. I'm speaking more in general terms than it actually happening :p

Just add some maps to pool on lan . For example on Bratislava lan add : vallente and wallendar and than ppl will play these map.

A bit against straight importing COD4 or vCOD maps into COD2. All those games rely on different speed. Vallente is a good example of what can be accomplished when creating a custom map from scratch for competitive purposes.

PS. doesn't COD4 have a system that picks two maps at random from the map pool? Would editing the map pool in CG to a completely competitive one (tj, dv, mt, bg, cr, + whatever 2-3 maps that work) and forcing random maps be an option?

That system could be great. In my opinion rail, caen and rhine are great maps which could be perfect for competitive playing. All of them are really teamplay focused unlike tj or harbor.

I'm kinda bored of usual maps as well, that's why we started to play on forgotten maps, such as like brecourt, breakout, etc..
Anyway, it's totally up to your, and the opponent's team what kind of maps you pick..no one is forcing you to play on tj and burg all the time.
Also I'd suggest a 5v5 ladder, where the a.i. would randomly pick 2 maps instead of the two teams..that'd be interesting!
Furthermore, I don't get why ppl took out the russian weapons..it was fun..so BRING BACK THE PPSH!
