Just going to write down my thoughts.

There is a Lan-series in Hungary near Budapest (~20 km - easily approachable with local buses) called ICL. The lan-series takes place in a renewed shipyard.
The next lan will be their 26th which will take place in july, with 32 CS:GO teams. (32 is the max. amount)
They got like min. 40 decent computers and recently they got sponsored by Acer with 40 144 HZ monitors.
I could say that they are well equipped. Usually when the lan's going, a shop opens where you can buy computer items such as mice, keyboards, mousepads etc.

As far as date: Autumn break or late november (before exams)

Why did I choose Budapest? If the next "big" lan would take for example in the UK, I'm pretty sure most of the eastern/central European teams could not attend because it would Western teams:first of all, there are less of them. Imo they could cover the travel's cost easier. (just checked the comments, everyone is telling the same thing lol)

Thoughts?

Made a strawpoll: http://strawpoll.me/4712190

PS:

I have no clue about what the ICL-STAFF would think about an idea like this, but who knows!

no shit sherlock...

With that line I wanted the prove that the lan-series is still active eventhough they haven't organized CoD2 events due to lack of interest.

For me and I think I am also speaking for my team, there is no interest in attending a lan in a place we have been before (Zagreb) or where there is nothing else except a boring shopping center in some local city. We wanna combine a lan trip with some days of holidays. So there should be possibilities to go out, get to see some sights nearby or to go to the sea or whatever. I am guessing that other western european teams feel the same. There is zero interest in attending a lan in a local town in in croatia/bosnia/hungary... unless there are some serious other attractions for what it is worth to come.
