CGAC - The new anti-cheat

CyberGamer Anti-Cheat - The brand-new AC

With UAC shutting down for good on the 1st of January, CyberGamer has developed a replacement program, CyberGamer Anti-Cheat (CGAC). CGAC will be mandatory from the start of the new year, the 1st of January. In this post you will find more information about on how to install the program and how to use it.

How to install the CyberGamer Anti-Cheat.
1. Download the installer from this page.
2. Extract the zip file.
3. Make sure you have .NET framework 4.5 installed. If you do not have .NET framework 4.5 installed you can download it here. If you are running Windows XP, you will need to download .NET framework 4.0 here.
4. Make an exception in your anti-virus software
5. Run setup.exe.

After installing the program there a few more steps you need to take before you can use the program. When opening the program you should see the following screen:

Before you can play a match you must enter your User ID and Auth Key. You can choose to remember this information by ticking the 'Remember Me' box. So where to find both of these values?

User ID
The User ID can be found at the end of the URL on your profile. For example, the User ID of this URL is 134677. You can also find the User ID next to your Auth Key, which is explained below.

Auth Key
The Auth Key is a personal key that you should always keep private since this will be used to login in to CGAC account. You must be logged in on CyberGamer to view your own Auth Key, which you can find on your own profile.

Click on the Game Information Edit button, you should then see the following pop-up:

You will find your Auth Key in the place highlighted above.

After entering your User ID and Auth Key you need to:
1. Enter the Match ID of your match, which is found on the Match Details page as before.
2. Click the launch button.
3. Load up CoD4.

Before starting the match it is important to check that all players are online on CGAC. You can see who is online on CGAC on the match page. Players who are on CGAC will show up like this on the match page:

If you hover over "CGAC" you will see detailed information about when the player started and shut-down CGAC.
